Youth Ministries

Youth Ministries at White Bear Lake United Methodist Church is a fun, educational and social program. Youth Ministries begins in 5th grade with the Tween program. Confirmation is offered to 9th grade students.

Summer Stretch

For each Summer Stretch Date: Bring a bag lunch and extra money for snacks Drop off and pick up at church. Adult drivers/needed for all dates High school leaders needed

Senior High Canoe Trip

Senior High (9th-12th grade) are invited to catch up with friends, bring a friend, and introduce yourself to Pastor Brooke at the Senior High Canoe Trip on Friday, August 20th from Noon-6pm. Cost is $12.50/person. Ninth grade confirmands are especially encouraged to participate! We'll canoe from Interstate Park in Taylors Falls to Osceola (2-3 hour canoe ride), with swimming, snacks, and fellowship along the way. We'll bus back to Interstate Park after canoeing.

Confirmation is a time to join with others to explore, question and grow in faith.journey includes site visits, classes, worship, service projects, retreats, prayer and the arts. The first class is a parent/youth gathering.

Middle School Faith Formation

Sundays, 9:00 am, September-May | Matt Sabin & Beth Smith

Join us for worship the first Sunday of the month; on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays we’ll meet in the middle school classroom to discover how God’s word makes a difference in our everyday lives.

Games for God (G4G)

Wednesdays, 7:00 pm, September-May | Anne Schwab

Join us as we meet in the middle school game room for faith-filled fun, service projects, drama, and other activities. We’ll also share our highs ‘n’ lows and talk about how God’s word relates to us today. Fun, faith, and acceptance is what it’s all about!

Junior High Special Events

Ongoing | Beth Smith

Youth in grades 6-8 are welcome to participate in special events throughout the year! We may take in a movie at church, have a lock-in, pack food at Feed My Starving Children, or just head over to Cup n' Cone for some ice cream. Check back here for more information or the youth board in the Fellowship Hall throughout the year.

WBLUMC Café: Faith, Friends, & Food (9-12 Grades)

2nd & 4th Sundays, 10:30 am , September-May | Beth Smith & Tracy Brown

Ninth through 12th graders join us the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month to talk about how God and the Bible relate to your everyday life as a teenager. Experience how faith in God and an accepting group of peers at WBLUMC can provide you with you direction and support in your day-to-day life. 

TNT! (10-12 grades)

Hey, tenth through twelfth graders; looking for a way to get connected at church? Come to TNT! We’ll have time to share highs'n lows, check out God’s word, and explore real issues and applications of the Bible to your life.

Senior High Special Events

We may take in a movie at someone's home, go ice skating, serve a meal at a homeless shelter, or just head over to Caribou after church.
